Annette Etges wurde in einem kleinen Ort im Westerwald geboren. Später zog sie nach Köln, wo sie bei einem renommierten Fotografen ein Praktikum absolvierte und ihm dann für drei Jahre assistierte. Anschließend studierte sie Kommunikationsdesign mit Schwerpunkt Fotografie an der FH Düsseldorf. Schon in ihrer Zeit als Foto-Assistentin zeigte sich ihr Interesse an der Reportage- und Portrait-Fotografie, das sich im Studium noch verstärkte. In ihrer Arbeit taucht Annette Etges in verschiedene Welten ein. Sie hat ein Auge für die unterschiedlichsten Charaktere und bildet diese authentisch in ihren Fotografien ab. Sie arbeitet für verschiedene Agenturen und Magazine und unterstützt Hilfsorganisationen im Ausland.

Annette Etges was born in a small town in Westerwald. She moved to Cologne where she worked for three years with a renowned photographer, first as his trainee and later as his assistant. Subsequently she studied Communication Design with focus on photography at University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf. During her time as an assistant photographer, her interest in photojournalism and portraits grew and it deepened during her studies. In her work, Annette Etges explores different worlds. She has a keen eye for character and a gift to visualize it in authentic photographs. At the moment she works for several agencies, magazines and supports aid organizations in foreign countrys.
